First, thank you. Thank you for continuing to put students first and prepare for possible school closures.
We understand that the messaging has evolved and may seem unclear because it changes hourly. As the Summit County Health Commissioner, Dr. Skoda, noted, "This is an unprecedented time. We have never faced this in any of our lives."
After speaking with Dr. Gildea on Saturday morning, we know the following:
Members, the situation is organic, fluid and unprecedented. We are asking you to be patient; stay connected via PCSD Intranet for updates; do not take anything personally; and do not make assumptions -- other than assume everyone is doing their best.
Also, please do NOT post things on social media suggesting that time in a classroom without students is ineffective. Often we ask for more time to prepare. This could be it.
We're all in this together.
